Meta's Threads Gets New Web Address and Exciting Updates

United States - Threads, the Meta-owned network, has changed its web address to Threads.com, making it easier for users to find the site. This move comes after traffic to an unrelated messaging app startup spiked following Threads' launch. Meta acquired the Threads.com domain last September but only recently started redirecting users to the new address.

Along with the new address, Meta has introduced several updates to the Threads platform. The site now displays custom feeds in the same order as on mobile, and users can find their liked and saved posts from the main menu icon. A new '+' button at the bottom-right corner allows users to start composing posts, and the platform is testing a feature to upload a list of people followed on other apps.

Additionally, users can now copy Threads posts as images to paste into other platforms like Instagram. The web app also introduces a new icon to add columns and a '+' button to create posts. Threads has started rolling out ads more broadly across 30 countries and recently allowed users to set their following or custom feeds as their default.
